We do not have plans to make Java 21 as a baseline for Flowable. However, Flowable does work with Java 21. So you as a user can use Java 21. Our docker images are actually using Java 21.
As for the higher Spring Boot version, they just released today Spring Boot 4 
. However, we have already planned this in the Flowable 7.2.0 release announcement we said that the next version of Flowable will be 8 and it will be using Spring Boot 4 together with Jackson 3.
