Inquiry Regarding Flowable Support for SAP HANA Table Creation

Hi Flowable Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am currently working on integrating Flowable V7.1.0 into our Spring Boot application while using SAP HANA as our underlying database. We have encountered challenges during the initialization phase where Flowable fails to recognize SAP HANA and subsequently encounters issues when attempting to create or manage its tables.

We are using the latest Flowable dependency and have tried disabling automatic schema updates as well as implementing workarounds to override JDBC metadata. However, these approaches have led to further complications, especially with Flowable’s App Engine and Hibernate integration.

Could you please advise on the following:

  • Is there an official or recommended approach for integrating Flowable with SAP HANA, specifically for table creation and schema management?
  • Are there any upcoming changes or a dedicated dependency that might provide native support for SAP HANA?
  • If there are any best practices or documentation available for configuring Flowable with SAP HANA, I would appreciate your guidance.

Any help or pointers you can provide will be invaluable to our project. Thank you very much for your time and assistance.

Best regards,
V Rishikesh
