Abstract Process Models Feature

Generally Business Users do not understand Flowable tasks like (camel task, script task, mail task, http task etc.) I want to let them use Flowable. So, is there a way to create abstract process models that use abstract tasks and decision tables ?

Business User

  • Uses Flowable to build abstract process models using tasks and decision tables for rules.

Technical User

  • Takes/Extends above abstract model, and create actual technical tasks like (http, script, mail, receive tasks etc) in the detail model.

Is it possible?

You can define various ‘palettes’ in the Flowable Modeler and have a certain palette configured for a given user/group. However, that functionality is not available in the current Flowable Modeler.
