Quering other process instances from a process

How can I check other process instances from process without using custom Java code? Is there any way ton access queries from JS script? Or maybe the only way is to use Flowable rest API and HTTP task?

I want to check which user has less tasks from other process instances assigned and assign the task to him/her.

yes, Script task (by default js, and groovy are supported)

Thank you, I thought so. Could you please toss me an example of script code? Or at least any documentation, where I can find info which objects are available from scripts?
