So the engine of Flowable is Open Source and therefore freely usable, but is it also the plugin itself? Is it also free for companies or do they have to choose the Enterprise version? What if a company only wants access to the application engine and the plugin and doesn’t want any additional support or consulting? We are currently thinking to integrate Flowable in another Eclipse Application which is running on our Systems but we are searching for a free Open Source Solution.
Flowable Designer is the eclipse plugins for is licensed under an Apache 2 license. You can verify this in the pom.xml and the headers of the individual source files. https://github.com/flowable/flowable-designer/
