Incompatibility between flowable-all-in-one modeler and flowable designer?

Hello,

I struggled for quite some time because I couldn’t open a .zip app file in “flowable designer”.
After a while, I discovered the docker image flowable-all-in-one that provides a similar application, so called “flowable modeler”.

The funny thing is that the same .zip file is fully accessible with flowable modeler but not designer !
And vice-versa, an application made with designer doesn’t open with modeler !

Could you explain me the differences between these two ? And I this incompatibilty was intended ?

That’s correct. So far, most users/customers use one or the other, but don’t mix. Do note that models (except forms) can be imported into both though.
