Include variables values into history query

Historical query (HistoricTaskInstanceBaseResource) result for serializable variables includes only URLs but not the variable values.
How in a single query can I get values as well?

Hi,

For serializable variables this is currently not possible. The values need to be fetched with an additional REST call.
