# Script Task Variable update doesn't reflect in subsequent tasks (V 6.2.1)

Hi @filiphr ,  
Thanks for your response , In the mean time I set all task to async ([Unable to get updated variable value at runtime](https://forum.flowable.org/t/unable-to-get-updated-variable-value-at-runtime/2429)) , Now it works as expected however getting user task is bit slower than before and all test cases taking longer.  
We yet to upgrade on 6.4.1
