# Get assignee who initiated the process

Hi,

I would like to get the assignee who initiated the process throughout the lifecycle of a process. I know I will have to query ACT\_HI\_TASKINST but please suggest me the query as I will need that.

I will pass processId and I should get the assignee.

Hi,  
You can find START\_USER\_ID\_ in ACT\_HI\_PROCINST.  
ACT\_HI\_TASKINST is for task instances not process instances.

the value in START\_USER\_ID\_ column is null…can u plz provide a way as to how I can set this value ???

Also the query to fetch the START\_USER\_ID\_ from this table…

I am querying ACT\_HI\_TASKINST for historic task assignee, but I realize column ‘Assignee\_’ is always empty.

How can I fix that?
