# Bulk create work items - from Excel / CSV input

Let’s imagine a support ticket or a case application. At the time of go-live, we need to bulk-load the tickets/cases from the legacy system to Flowable. The data fields required to create a ticket/case are available as an Excel/CSV export from the legacy system. Is there a script or other programmatic way to bulk-create the tickets/cases with the input data fields in Excel/CSV format? Essentially, we need to start the “create ticket/case” process in a loop and feed it all the input data fields from the Excel.

No, there isn’t such thing out of the box. You’d need something in Java (e.g. using Apache POI or the likes) that calls the Flowable API.

Id like to revisit this topic is there any way to bulk load cases from legacy system (Jira) excel download into Flowable?

Hi @rbooth,

there is still no out-of-the-box thing there yet. You could use the Java or REST API, as well as triggering the processes based on an event (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
